Tikkun Michael Lerner's home attacked by caring and loving Activists and Militants

1.  There are those who regularly take me to task when I describe Israeli leftists as a movement of leftwing fascism.  That is going too far, I am told.

Is it?

Well, consider the goings on in the Tel Aviv high school named "The New High School." Or for short, The New High.  (web site here: http://www.tichon-hadash.tlv.k12.il/emall/shopHome.asp?sc=1733 )  The school claims to teach "progressive values," which means that large numbers of its teachers are communists and large numbers of its students have communist parents.  It has been in the news in the past for leftist indoctrination in its classrooms.  But the new story was reported by Israeli senior journalist Dan Margolit and has been discussed in other media.

A high school student named G.L. dared to express disapproval in the classroom of the treason and espionage activities of Anat Kamm.  As you recall, Kamm stole more than 2000 documents from the army and leaked them to Haaretz uber-leftist Uri Blau.  The student's teacher, one Leora Mendelson, denounced the student and called him an anti-Semite for daring to say those things.   She then went on to explain that in every one of us (I guess "us" meaning Israelis) there hides a "Little Eichmann" (has she been speaking with Ward Churchill?).  She added, "We are all Nazis and we are all victims."

The teacher then kicked G. L. out of class and prohibited him to return to her classroom for the rest of the school year.  (G.L. is a senior so would never be back in her classroom.)

Mendelson made one mistake though.  It turns out that G.L has a mother who works in the educational TV channel and she did not sit back passively.  She made sure the Ministry of Education heard about what had happened in the school.  The Minister of Education himself got involved and read the principal of the school the riot act.  The principal, fearing perhaps for the school's funds, ordered the teacher Mendelson to issue an apology.

2.  As you know, Michael Lerner, the rabbi impersonator from Tikkun magazine, considers terrorists to be activists and militants and insists that we all feel their pain.

Well, somewhat strangely, the good old Rabbi Moonbeam and his Woodstockischer Chassidim followers have failed to insist that we feel the pain of the activists and militants being described here: http://www.tikkun.org/tikkundaily/2010/05/03/right-wing-zionist-threat/comment-page-1/#comment-9071
