A team of Israeli researchers at the Hebrew University just developed a method to erase memories in rats.  (In Hebrew,  story appears here  It uses optic energy to stimulate the brain.  It is thought the method might have therapeutic value for humans who have experienced trauma.

I was curious though to know how they were so sure the rodents in question had actually had their memories erased.

Well I checked and it turns out that after having these bright lights shown onto their brain cells for an extended period, the mice all hopped up, formed a circle, and started chanting in unison "Peace Now, Peace Now."
