Memories

A team of Israeli researchers at the Hebrew University just developed a method to erase memories in rats.  (In Hebrew,  story appears here http://www.haaretz.co.il/news/health/research/.premium-1.2047967)  It uses optic energy to stimulate the brain.  It is thought the method might have therapeutic value for humans who have experienced trauma.

I was curious though to know how they were so sure the rodents in question had actually had their memories erased.

Well I checked and it turns out that after having these bright lights shown onto their brain cells for an extended period, the mice all hopped up, formed a circle, and started chanting in unison "Peace Now, Peace Now."
