In his weekend interview, Barack Obama took time off from praising Helen Thomas and choking from emotion he proclaimed that "Trayvon Martin could have been me," by which he meant that he himself could have been a Trayvon Martin. I am not sure whether he meant by this that he could have smashed a nice half-Hispanic Neighborhood Watch bloke's head into the concrete.
But I think it is most newsworthy that Obama did NOT say that George Zimmerman could have been he. Why? Well, you see, Barack Obama never served in any armed services or police force or even in a semi-police neighborhood watch squad. He was too busy community organizing.
Unlike George ZImmerman.
